Diabetic kidney disease, also known as diabetic nephropathy, refers to the kidney disease caused by long years uncontrolled diabetes. 2. Swelling or edema

3. High blood pressure

Most of the patients can get different degree of high blood pressure, which can be cause by fluid-sodium retention and too much renin secretion due to kidney damage. The high blood pressure can also cause further kidney damage in turn.

4. Renal anemia

This is one of the most common seen complication due to low kidney function. When patients get anemia, they can have the symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, dizziness, difficult in breathing, and so on.

5. Digestive system symptoms

Patients can also get some digestive problems, such as poor appetite, nausea, vomiting, black stool, diarrhea, and so on.

6. Metabolic acidosis

This symptom is often happened when patients get into advanced stage, kidneys fail to work adequately. Once patients get the metabolic acidosis, they can have the symptoms such as fatigue, nausea and vomiting, etc.
